Robber strikes at pizza restaurant

POLICE are appealing for information following a robbery at a Suffolk restaurant.

POLICE are appealing for information following a robbery at a Suffolk restaurant.

The raid took place at Dominos Pizza in Apple Acre Road, Haverhill at around 11.45pm yesterday.

A man entered the takeaway and requested that staff organise a taxi for him before walking out.

Moments later, the man returned to the restaurant, produced a knife and demanded that staff hand over cash.

A quantity of money was handed over and the man ran off.

The man was white, 5ft 10ins to 6ft, of large build, in his late teens to 20s, wearing a grey and black striped hooded top, with a light coloured top underneath and a light coloured scarf and dark blue jeans with light blue fading down the front.

Police also need to speak to a woman he was with who was white, in her late teens to early 20s, wearing a dark coloured Parka-style waist length jacket, dark blue jeans and brown Ugg-style boots.
