Robbers target woman in town centre

DETECTIVES in Ipswich are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in town centre public toilets.

The incident took place at around 2.40pm yesterday afternoon in the public toilets at Major's Corner, Ipswich.

The incident took place at around 2.40pm yesterday afternoon in the public toilets at Major's Corner, Ipswich.

A 37-year-old woman from the Ipswich area entered the toilets. When she went to the basins she was pulled from behind and her handbag was taken from her.

The handbag was later found but her purse containing a quantity of cash was missing.

During the incident the victim received slight injures which included a bang to her head and knees.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the incident or seen someone acting suspiciously.
