IF she were to take Robbie Williams' advice to sing when you're winning, Elene Marsden would no doubt have been crooning at the top of her voice when she heard she'd won tickets to the premier of his feature length documentary.

Last night she and her friend, Maritza Abreu, mingled with celebrities who had gathered for the first viewing of Nobody Someday at the Warner Brothers Screen in Shepherd's Bush, London.

It was a glitzy affair that attracted a lot of media and paparazzi attention with crowds of fans also clamouring for the chance to see Robbie.

Mrs Marsden said: "It was a great night and we got to stand very, very close to Robbie.

"He walked in and was being interviewed by Margherita Taylor and he was literally a foot away from us.

"We watched quite a few other stars as well. Richard Branson was there and Claudia Schiffer but not Kylie or Nicole.

"The paparazzi were there with their cameras flying. Then we got to see the film."

She was more than impressed with the film, Robbie and the whole experience.

"I thought Robbie had a really, really massive ego," the 44-year-old said, "but he comes over as really down to earth.

"He seemed quite shy. It's a different side to him."

Her appearance at the premiere may also be immortalised on film after she was interviewed by a crew filming extra footage for Robbie's soon to be released DVD.

Mrs Marsden, of Woodbridge Road, Ipswich, won the sought after tickets after entering a Microsoft competition.

She has recently set up her own business, Corazon IT, and discovered the competition when she bought some new software.

"I purchased the new Microsoft XP software and it offered the opportunity to enter a competition for an evening with Robbie Williams," she explained.

"I don't normally enter competitions but I answered a few questions and completed a slogan and won.

"I found out that I would be going with a friend to join celebrities in welcoming Robbie to his film, Nobody Someday, which is released at the beginning of next year."

"I've just set up my own business as an IT trainer so I'm glad to get something back from Microsoft," she added.

To enter the competition Mrs Marsden answered a few multiple-choice questions and wrote a Robbie-related slogan.

"One of the questions asked what the last venue was on his recent tour and gave some options," she said.

"My slogan was something like "One day nobody somebody is going to say 'Let Me Entertain You'.

"It was corny but I don't care."

Before the premiere Mrs Marsden confessed to not being the biggest Robbie Williams fan but said that after seeing the premier that could well change.

She said: "Who doesn't like Robbie Williams?

"I'm not a huge fan though. I was talking to somebody yesterday and they were appalled that I'd not even read his autobiography.

"I do love his new video but if you tested me on my Robbie knowledge I don't know how I'd do."

However, after her trip to London she said: "I'll definitely be buying his latest CD and the DVD when it comes out.

"I wasn't the biggest Robbie fan but I think I've been converted."

Nobody Someday is a feature-length documentary directed by Brian Hill which follows Robbie on his European tour last year.

The film will be released on January 4 in London, Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dublin, and will then tour a limited number of cities in the UK. Weblinks:
