A MUSIC lover is hoping to turn back the clock in the new year with a sixties extravaganza.

Kirton based guitar tutor Richard Deyn has lined up a series of live music events in the region that will have people rolling back the years.

Now he needs your memories to help put the finishing touches to the groovy evenings and is appealing for old photos and memorabilia from the time to adorn the show venues.

Mr Deyn, whose self-styled 'pick up and learn' guitar lessons have featured in The Evening Star, promises the monthly 'Step Back' events will seem like a leap back in time.

He said: “I think it will be really good fun and I want to hear from readers who have memories of the area in the sixties.”

Together with business partner Perry Davies, Mr Deyn is offering one lucky Star reader a free pair of tickets to the premier sixties night at St. Clement's Sports and Social Club on February 6.

The event promises to offer fancy dress prizes, traditional 1960s Sweets raffle prizes and live music with hits from back in the day.

To stand a chance of winning a pair of tickets, or to send your photos and memories of the decade to Mr Deyn, email info@sixtiesnights.co.uk or visit www.sixtiesnights.co.uk
