A rolling roadblock was set up along the A14 near Ipswich this evening while police recovered two cars following a crash.

Suffolk police received reports of an accident in the westbound carriageway near Sproughton just after 5.45pm.

A police spokesman said the outside lane had been blocked and a rolling roadblock was in place while the two vehicles - a blue BMW and black Vauxhall Agila - were removed.

The cars had both ended up in the central reservation though no one is reported to have been hurt.

Police said at 6.15pm that they hoped traffic would return to normal before long.
