ENGINEERING giant Rolls-Royce today announced it is cutting 2,300 jobs from its plants in Britain, Europe, and America.The company makes aero and marine engines - but is not connected to the luxury car maker which has the same name.

The company makes aero and marine engines - but is not connected to the luxury car maker which has the same name.

Rolls-Royce employs about 23,000 people in Britain, mainly at factories in Bristol and Derby.
