Pupils from the school won both the age categories

Both the year 13 and year 9 teams from the Royal Hospital School won the Ipswich Area Finals of their respective competitions. A year 11 team from the school came second in the senior competition.

A speaker from each team prepares a talk on a topic of their choice with supporting speeches coming from their teammates. This year’s topics included organ donation.

Mr Christmas, director of teaching and learning at the school said:“Our delivery was hard-hitting and presentations exemplary.

“The Royal Hospital School dominated the competition and this was the second year in a row that we have won in both age groups.

“Congratulations to all involved and thank you to Miss Morris and Mr Graham for their excellent coaching.”

Both teams will go through to the District Finals at King’s Lynn later this term.
