IPSWICH: The Duchess of Cambridge has now left Ipswich after her first solo public event to the Treehouse Hospice.
The visit, which lasted two hours, saw Kate greet a sea of waving flags and excited onlookers as her car pulled up to the hospice in St Augustine’s Gardens.
After embarking on a tour of the facility, she then delivered her speech during which she praised the inspirational work done by EACH.
She then planted a commemorative tree to mark her visit before being handed a posy of flowers by Bethany Woods and Tilly Jennings.
Kate then left the town in her chauffeured car amid a cheering crowd.
