RSPCA inspectors are investigating today after removing 100 cows from a farm following concerns about the animals' welfare.
A spokeswoman said inspectors had been working since the weekend to move the cattle from the farm, which has not been named but is near Thetford.
She said the animals were “weak and thin” and had been taken away after Government vets granted a “special licence”.
The spokeswoman said: “We have received complaints regarding approximately 100 cows on a farm near Thetford.
“A team of inspectors has been working since Saturday to remove the cattle, which include approximately 25 calves.
“The operation is being carried out under a special licence from the Department of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
