RUGBY players at St Joseph's College in Ipswich have just beaten the world record for rowing one million metres in less than 17 hrs 39mins and 25seconds.
The pupil's started their mammoth effort at 8pm yesterday and proceeds from sponsorship for this event will be split equally between the South African rugby tour in 2009 and the college's La Sallian Developing World Projects.
