A total of 45 runners from the Run For Your Life group, an Ipswich-based social running club organised on Facebook, took just over an hour to run six miles between 36 of the porcine sculptures making up the Ipswich art trail this summer.

Their route on Thursday night began at Ipswich Town’s Portman Road ground, went to Christchurch Park, before finishing back in the town centre.

Bex Gilbert, organiser, said: “I was bowled over to see so many lovely, brightly-coloured people, it was a superb turnout.

“I still can’t believe how many came along, and am feeling chuffed.

“It was a massive team effort, great work everyone, and lovely as always to meet some new faces.”

More pig-themed runs are planned by the group in the future.
