Saabs stolen from dealer

DETECTIVES are hunting car thieves who stole £180,000 of Saabs from an Ipswich dealer.

The vehicles were taken overnight on Wednesday, August 1, by thieves who broke into Cox in Goddard Road East, stole keys to six Saabs and then drove the vehicles from the forecourt.

The vehicles were taken overnight on Wednesday, August 1, by thieves who broke into Cox in Goddard Road East, stole keys to six Saabs and then drove the vehicles from the forecourt.

The missing vehicles include two grey cars registration Y247 OPV, X861 LRT, a grey estate registration Y256 OPV, a blue estate registration Y251 OPV, a blue coupe registration S735 TBC and a silver-coloured convertible registration Y368 OPV.

The thefts come after thieves targeted dealers in Essex and Hertfordshire and police are warning dealers in Suffolk to be extra vigilant.

Anyone who saw the stolen Saabs being driven off or who has information about their whereabouts should contact DC Steve Williamson at Ipswich police station on 01473 383100.
