"I'VE been fired because I am Scottish!"
That was the claim made today by proud Scot Jason Colvin, who is at a loss for words – after allegedly being sacked from his job because people could not understand what he was saying.
Mr Colvin claims he was told to leave his work because of his strong Scottish accent, and alleges it was racial discrimination.
It sounds like a tale from the incomprehensible Rab C Nesbit, but Mr Colvin is serious and has asked the Commission for Racial Equality to take up his case and is now hoping there will be an industrial
tribunal.
