BITTERNESS and recrimination cloud the lives of Peter and Jennifer Dow today.

Just six years after tying the knot, the couple ended up testifying against each other in court following a violent row during which a judge heard they tried to strangle each other.

The argument led to Mr Dow being accused of attempting to murder his estranged wife at their former home in Trimley St Mary.

Although he pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of actual bodily harm, the normally placid 55-year-old was spared jail.
