The festival was organised by local brewers Beer&Co. to tie in with the Maritime Festival, and featured the family support charity fundraising across the weekend.

The fundraising was raised through entry fees, customer donations and sale of commemorative beer glasses.

Tara Somers, executive manager at Home-Start, said: “We are always looking for new and innovative ideas for raising money and were delighted to be asked to partner this event.

“It was a great opportunity for raising the profile of Home-Start whilst building new links and having a lot of fun!”

Beer&Co.’s next event is the Saints Oktoberfest running on September 15 and 16, featuring German beers served in traditional steins, street foot and an oompah band.
