KEVIN Dye, of Arundel Way, Ipswich, sent a photograph of his class at St John's. Kevin said: “I was at St John's School from 1948 to 1954. The class group published in Kindred Spirits recently was one year ahead of me. My class three photograph was taken in June 1952.
“Our teacher was Mrs Wright. The photograph was taken in the playground at the back of the school and our classroom at the time was behind us. “Miss Fromant was in charge of class two and Miss Ashton class one. I was eight years old when the picture was taken as were most of my classmates.
“Twelve of us went on to Northgate Grammar School which was above average in percentage terms, but normal for St John's.”
