A SCHOOLBOY who claimed he was indecently assaulted by a man while they were sleeping in the same bed has denied that he had dreamt the incident.

The boy told a jury at Ipswich Crown Court: "I know the difference between dreaming and real life and I am certain this was real."

Before the court is David Miller, 22, of Packard Place, Bramford, who has denied two charges of indecent assault and two of indecency with a child. The offences allegedly relate to two boys aged between eight and 13.

Giving evidence via a TV link yesterday, the boy said he was not mistaken when he claimed Miller had touched his penis while they were sleeping in the same bed.

Cross examined by Miller's barrister Christopher Harding the boy also denied that he was lying about the incident.

The boy told the court that he had spent a lot of his free time with Miller and Miller had become moody if he wanted to see other friends.

He said he felt trapped in his friendship with Miller and was relieved when they had an argument and fell out.

He denied a suggestion from Mr Harding that he was upset and angry when their friendship was over and had wanted to get back at Miller.

"I didn't want revenge or to get back at him," said the boy.

Giving evidence yesterday also via a TV link a second boy claimed that Miller had indecently exposed himself to him and had asked him to do the same and not to tell anyone.

After his arrest Miller denied any indecent behaviour towards the boys and said he had fallen out with one of them because he wouldn't take him to the pub.

The trial continues.
