Schoolgirl rape denied

A 34-YEAR-OLD Suffolk man appeared in court yesterday accused of raping a schoolgirl.

Before Ipswich Crown Court is Alan Tillyard of Lowestoft who has denied three offences of raping the girl and three alternative charges of indecently assaulting her.

Before Ipswich Crown Court was Alan Tillyard, of Lowestoft, who has denied three offences of raping the girl and three alternative charges of indecently assaulting her.

Rosalyn Mandil-Wade, prosecuting, said the jury would have to decide whether or not the girl was telling the truth about the allegations.

The trial continues today.
