FRIENDSHIP will be the key word when an Ipswich pub reopens its doors in the town next week.

The Punch and Judy, in Grafton Way, will be open for business again on February 19 following a £50,000 refurbishment.

To mark the occasion, manager Phaedra Grant, known to customers as Fred, is looking for two best friends to help relaunch the pub and its Two's Company at Two For One offer.

Phaedra said: "Friends are important.

"I thought it would be lovely to find the two best friends from the area and give them a great meal on the house.

"We are looking for two friends who really show what friendship is all about. Our 'Two's Company' winners could be grandparents now but have been friends since childhood, or maybe they've had to help one another through a difficult time.

"We want to find two friends with a really strong bond and hopefully with a lovely story to tell of their friendship."

The Two For One offer allows customers to buy any main course and get another one free, all day every day.

To enter the 'Two's Company' competition, call Sarah Hemming at Seal PR on 0121 455 7788 between 9am and 5.30pm and tell her about your best friend.

The winning pals will have the chance to be VIPs at the official reopening of the business and will win a £25 voucher each to use at the pub.
