POLICE are trying to trace a man who repeatedly hugged a ten-year-old girl in an incident in a wooded area at Kesgrave.

The incident happened off Pilboroughs Walk around 5pm on Monday May 25 where three children were playing.

The man - who came along the pathway from the Farmhouse pub - told the youngsters he had a problem with his bike and asked them to look at the cycle.

He then asked them personal questions. One child left and the other two became scared by the man's actions and said they had to go home. The man then hugged the girl, against her wishes, several times.

Police described the man as in his late teens to mid 20s, of slim build, around 6ft tall, with short dark hair, with a piercing and a mole on his face, wearing a T-shirt and blue jeans, carrying a bag and pushing a mountain bike. Anyone who saw him in the area should call officers on 01473 613500.
