Second crash causes A14 tailbacks

RUSH hour traffic faced long delays this evening after an accident close to the Orwell Bridge.Drivers on the A14 were already caught up in long tailbacks following a collision earlier in the afternoon.

RUSH hour traffic faced long delays this evening after an accident close to the Orwell Bridge.

Drivers on the A14 were already caught up in long tailbacks following a collision earlier in the afternoon.

The second accident involved two cars - a Ford Escort and Vauxhall Cavalier.

Nobody is thought to have been hurt, but long delays were expected following the collision, which happened near to the Nacton turn-off at 4.45pm.

The first incident, which involved a green Grand Cherokee 4x4 vehicle and a red Man lorry happened at 3.26pm.
