POLICE are today hunting a young man who tried to sexually assault a 14-year-old girl in Ipswich.

POLICE are today hunting a young man who tried to sexually assault a 14-year-old girl in Ipswich.

Two males approached the girl around 1.30pm on Tuesday as she was walking along Rands Way towards Queen's Way.

They asked for her personal details and then one of them tried to grab her, but was unsuccessful.

It is believed they were delivering takeaway leaflets in the area.

The first male is described as Asian, aged 15 to 20 years old, with straight black hair, brown eyes, no facial hair and was wearing a dark coloured short sleeved t-shirt, dark jeans and black trainers.

The second assailant is described as Asian, aged 15 to 20 years old, with straight black hair, no facial hair and was wearing a dark blue t-shirt and jeans.
