Staff and customers of Ipswich estate agency Marks and Mann have helped collect more than 200 charity shoeboxes to brighten up Christmas for children across the world who are deprived during the festive season.

They collected the boxes on behalf of Operation Christmas Child – Samaritans Purse.

The have been brought together at their office and will now be sent off by the charity which will send them to projects around the world.

Laura Davidson from Marks and Mann said: “We are overwhelmed by the response and generosity from the people of Ipswich!

“Your boxes will be going to less fortunate children and making sure that they are smiling on Christmas. From everyone at Marks and Mann, thank you and Merry Christmas!”

The boxes are being sent off now and contain gifts and school equipment that will be used by children in a number of projects.
