IT is not the first time that Ipswich has been left shocked by a shooting at a town centre club.

Last week, Suffolk Constabulary renewed appeals for information following the shooting at Zest nightclub in the early hours of Saturday December 9, 2006.

Jimoh Plunkett was struck in the chest by one of a number of shots fired at the club. He ran into the street and collapsed. He was taken to Ipswich Hospital but he sadly died. Zest has remained closed since that day.

Five people have been left injured following the brawl at the Caribbean Club in Woodbridge Road in the early hours of this morning. One of the men was injured after being shot at. One person was also believed to have been smashed in the face with a bottle. None of the injuries are believed to be life threatening.
