Police in Ipswich are investigating a number of incidents where eggs were thrown at people and buildings in the town.

Nine incidents, along with one in Trimley, are all thought to be linked.

The first took place on June 23 in Greyfriars when eggs were thrown at a person.

A series of incidents then took place in the evening of June 29 within a half hour period.

In Belstead Road around 9.50pm an egg was thrown at a person and then in Station Street around 10pm eggs were thrown at shop front.

In Woodbridge Road around 10pm eggs were thrown at a person and a cyclist, then at another person 15 minutes later.

Three incidents have been reported as happening on July 2, with eggs thrown at a person in Woodbridge Road around 10.30pm, then at a shop window in Spring Road around 11.15pm, then again at a person in Yarmouth Road around 11.20pm.

The incident in Trimley, in High Road, took pace on June 28 around 9.50pm where eggs were thrown from vehicle at a person standing at a bus stop.

In most of the incidents the eggs were seen to be thrown from a silver estate car, possibly a Mondeo.
