A POLICE hunt is on after a shotgun and around 200 ammunition cartridges were stolen in a Suffolk village.
A POLICE hunt is on after a shotgun and around 200 ammunition cartridges were stolen in a Suffolk village.
The theft happened in High Street, Bildeston, between 7.30pm on Friday and 12.15am on Saturday.
A vehicle parked in High Street was broken into and the weapon was taken.
A spokesman for Suffolk police said the window was smashed and the shotgun, as well as the ammunition and some clothing, were taken.
The value of the stolen property is estimated at £3,500.
Police urged anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of the gun and the ammunition to contact the force immediately.
