DETECTIVES are appealing for sightings of anyone acting suspiciously following a house burglary in which a shotgun, ammunition and a quantity of cash was stolen.
The break-in happened at a house on the northern outskirts of Wickham Market between 8.10am and 11am today.
A resident at the property - which is not far from riding schools, golf clubs and farm premises which people may have visited today - returned home to discover the raid and that the shotgun and cartridges for the weapon had been taken along with a small amount of cash.
Police are asking anyone who was in the area between this morning to call if they saw anything out-of-the-ordinary.
“Did you see someone carrying something that could have been a shotgun across fields? Or did you see a vehicle parked in an unusual place?” said a police spokeswoman.
Detectives would like to hear from anyone who was out north of Wickham Market who saw anything that may help inquiries and would also like to speak to anyone with information about the thieves.
