Should land off Bell Lane and Foxhall Road in Kesgrave be used for development?

The Planning Inspectorate’s decision to dismiss Persimmon’s appeal to build 300 homes off Bell Lane in Kesgrave, sparked messages of relief from town leaders yesterday.
Plans were first lodged by the developer in December 2015 to build 300 homes, and after being rejected by the planning committee at Suffolk Coastal District Council Persimmon opted to appeal the decision.
Following the four-day inquiry over the summer, the Planning Inspectorate yesterday confirmed it had decided to dismiss Persimmon’s appeal, stating that the development was not sustainable.
Town leaders said the decision was the right one for Kesgrave, but now we would like to hear from you – do you think the right decision was made?
Do you think the land should be used for homes?
Maybe a retail or leisure park instead?
Or perhaps it should be left alone as green, open space?
