SIGNALLING problems in the Ipswich and Colchester areas caused major headaches for rail passengers heading in all directions today.
An early-morning fault knocked out half the station with platforms one and two being closed to all trains.
Two early trains to London were cancelled, and those which did run had delays of between 30 and 40 minutes.
Services on the Felixstowe branch were suspended altogether and replaced by buses.
