THOUSANDS of travellers faced railway chaos today after a signal failure outside London.

Passengers travelling to and from the capital faced long delays after a fault at Gidea Park shortly before 9am.

Many trains were cancelled, others were running two hours late – and rail bosses feared the fault might not be solved until the evening rush-hour.
