A Suffolk singer is putting on a night of jazz and soul to raise cash for The Memory Cafe in Ipswich.
Carmella Pugh will host the evening of 1930s-50s music - with a few modern hits thrown in for good measure - at the Rosary Club in Bramford Road on Friday, April 20.
Carmella is raising money for the Memory Cafe in Ipswich which supports those living with dementia.
“The money will go towards all sorts of things, general running costs, their weekly programme of entertainment, trips, games and activities,” said Carmella.
“The evening will be a few hours of vintage jazz and soul music, anything 1930s onwards, followed by professional and home cooked cakes and tea.”
She is also raising cash to help fund her sister-in-law Emily Pugh, a qualified midwife, take a trip to Tanzanian to support a hospital’s maternity ward.
