The Singing Safari experience is returning to Ipswich, with a performance at the Global Rhythms festival in Christchurch Park lined up for Saturday, July 8.
The project, which is now in its seventh year, features experienced Woodbridge choirmaster Chris Rowbury teaching people of all levels of experience songs in different styles from across the world.
Weekly rehearsals are held in the run up to the performance, with no experience in a choir, no solo performances or the ability to read music necessary.
Among styles lined up for this year will be arrangements of Latin and Spanish-inspired music, as well as gospel and African music, all taught by ear.
The sessions take place at the Co-op Education Centre in Fore Street each Tuesday, from 7.30pm, starting this evening.
