SUPER-singer Tom Rust is to perform at the Ipswich and Suffolk Press Ball, it has today been announced.

The award winning vocalist will serenade lucky guests with swing and big band hits during the glittering evening.

Tom performed at the Beijing Olympics last year and will also be heard at the FA Cup final in May in the legendary Bobby Moore Suite.

Tom Rust is a professional vocalist and entertainer whose musical talent and interpretation has helped to establish him as one of the UK's top singers from Jazz to Rock through to Soul, Blues and then back to the 'Old School' Crooners.

He said: “I sing with a variety of musical combinations performing Jazz/Rat Pack era through to 60's, 70's, Disco, 80's to more modern hits.

“I am based in the UK and perform worldwide. Recently I sang in the VIP suite at the Beijing Olympics and at the Events conference in Dubai.”

Bridget York of top events firm Entire Affair said: “Tom will add that extra special touch to this year's press ball singing a variety of musical combinations from the Rat Pack era as guest arrive and - he has a truly amazing voice!”

Organisers of the ball are hoping to raise thousands for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust (CFT).

To be held at the Hotel Elizabeth, Copdock, on Friday, June 19, music, dancing, fine food and wines will be followed by an auction and tombola with prizes donated by a number of businesses and organisations.

Regularly and strongly supported by the county's business community, the Press Ball is once again sponsored by Ipswich firm Call Connection.

If your business or organisation would like to donate a raffle or auction prize to the prestigious event please contact Bridget York on 07961 430599.
