PART of the A12 was closed after a three-car crash left six people needing hospital treatment.
The collision happened on a stretch of the road between Leiston and Saxmundham just before 6.40pm.
It involved a Ford Mondeo, a Peugeot 306 and a Daiwoo car.
Four ambulance crews ferried the six injured people to Ipswich Hospital for treatment but Suffolk Police said while some of the injuries were serious none were life-threatening.
