Slight burns suffered in Bury house fire

ONE person was taken to hospital after a house fire in Bury St Edmunds on Saturday.

Fire broke out on the first floor of a semi-detached house in Oaks Road, shortly after 5pm.

Fire broke out on the first floor of a semi-detached house in Oaks Road, shortly after 5pm.

The casualty received slight burns and suffered from smoke inhalation.

Two fire engines from Bury attended the fire, which was quickly brought under control.
