WITH the curtain barely down on Peter Pan, details of the next pantomime to take the Ipswich Regent stage have been released and tickets go on sale today.

Announcements have been made that the pantomime to grace the stage will be Snow White, and a now a list of dates for the performances has been set.

The show - complete with wicked stepmother and seven dwarfs will take to the Regent stage on December 15, with an intensive three and half week run of two shows each day.

The panto tells the story of the beautiful Snow White, who is banished deep into the woods by the evil Queen and then is rescued by seven friendly dwarfs.

But the Queen will not rest until she becomes the “fairest in the land” once again and disguises herself as an old woman to tempt Snow White to eat a poisoned apple. Sent into a deep enchanted sleep, with the dwarfs desperate to help, it becomes clear that the wicked spell can only be broken by a loving kiss from a Prince.

Negotiations for who will take on the starring roles are still underway, but whoever does take on the roles will play a gruelling run of 42 performances - six less than Peter Pan. With rest days each Monday, the panto will run until January 7 and see afternoon and evening performances each other day.

The theatre has said ticket prices for Snow White will stay the same as they were for Peter Pan this year, which ranged from £13 to £19, but there will also be a ten per cent discount offered to all customers who booked to see Peter Pan.
