A TEENAGER is in hospital today after a freak accident involving a kite.
Paramedics were called to reports of a man injured after being dragged along a barbed wire fence in Southend on Sea at about 1.41pm.
A rapid repsonse car and an ambulance were sent to the scene in Ness Road, Shoeburyness.
East of England Ambulance Service spokesman Gary Sanderson, said: “The boy who we believe to be 18-years-old was dragged along for some distance along a barbed wire fence.
“Paramedics treated and stablised him before he was taken to Souhend Hospital.”
The teenagers injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
