EMERGENCY services have dealt with a series of crashes in Suffolk today.

In the first, a woman escaped serious injury despite being trapped in her car after a collision in Main Road, Tuddenham.

The two-vehicle collision happened shortly before 9am.

Three fire crews were sent to the scene and the firefighters freed the woman from her car.

She did not need to be taken to hospital.

Just after 9am a second woman was trapped in her vehicle after an accident on the A12 at Yoxford. She was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment for suspected head and neck injuries.

And at just before 9.30am a woman suffered minor injuries in a crash on the Ipswich-bound carriageway of the A14 at Sproughton.

Two ambulances attended but the woman, who was complaining of chest pains, did not need to be taken to hospital.
