About 10.30am two men claiming to be from the water board gained entry to an elderly woman's home in Leggatt Drive, Bramford, but nothing was taken from inside.

Two men, again claiming to be from the water board, also approached an elderly woman's home in Steels Road, Woolpit, but she refused them entry when they failed to show proper identification.

Then at just before noon a home in Defoe Road, Ipswich, was targeted by two men, again claiming to be from the water board, who stole a small black box containing a small amount of cash and keys.
