DRIVERS are being urged to protect car radios and CD players, after a spate of thefts in the Woodbridge and Leiston areas.The appeal comes after three incidents between Thursday and Saturday.

DRIVERS are being urged to protect car radios and CD players, after a spate of thefts in the Woodbridge and Leiston areas.

The appeal comes after three incidents between Thursday and Saturday.

Officers are reminded people not to leave valuables in vehicles, remove music equipment, and have belongings postcoded.

Between 9.30pm on Thursday and 7.05am on Friday, someone broke into a car in Swainston Way Dennington and took a Motorola pager and Sony CD player.

Then between 8pm and 9.45pm the same day, a thief broke into a car parked outside the Westerfield Swan pub in Westerfield Road, Westerfield and took a Sony CD walkman.

Karaoke CDs, microphones, speakers, a CD player, a mini-disc player and an amplifier worth a total of £6,000 from a car in Bedfield Road, Earl Soham between 8pm Thursday and 7am Friday.
