A FELIXSTOWE man has been ordered to pay more than �300 and had six penalty points added to his licence after being caught speeding on the A140.

A FELIXSTOWE man has been ordered to pay more than �300 and had six penalty points added to his licence after being caught speeding on the A140.

Martin Rue, 45, of Red Hill Court, sent a guilty plea by post to South East Suffolk Magistrates Court in Ipswich, yesterday.

The court was told that at 10am on July 13 last year the defendant was driving his BMW 650i on the A140 at Coddenham when was caught doing 84mph in a 50mph limit.

In a letter to magistrates Rue said he was travelling on the dual carriageway section of the road when he over took a slow moving vehicle.

The case was heard in his absence and Rue had six points added to his driving licence, fined �290 and ordered to pay �46 costs and a �15 victim surcharge.
