AS television voters chose to put one of the Cats out last night, Star readers remain confident that former cricket ace Phil Tuffnell will spin to the top of tree.

Ipswich voters have tipped the ex-England star as king of the jungle in the Evening Star I'm a Celebrity poll.

The man sarcastically nicknamed The Cat for his lack of grace on the cricket field has bowled over viewers with his laid-back one-liners.

At least last night's decision by the viewers ended the confusion in the Queensland jungle – until last night there were two "Cats" prowling the camp.

Tuffers and model Catalina Guirado both answer to the name – but now there's only one Top Cat out there as The Pout was voted out.

Model and former TFI Friday star Catalina is best known for getting off her kit in lads mags.

Star readers have seen more than enough of the pouting prima donna and her crocodile tears and want to see the 'star' sent up the jungle river.

But ex-punk Toyah Wilcox needs to tread carefully. The singer of It's a Mystery has left viewers investigating for any signs of a personality.

Bookies' favourite Tuffers picked up more than 40 per cent of the poll in the Star vote – way ahead of his rivals.

Designer Linda Barker has fashioned a usual platform of support with just over 15 pc while chef Antony Worrall Thompson has curried favour with nearly 12 pc.

Other contestants are lagging sadly behind with camp dancing midget Wayne Sleep level pegging with Catalina on 4.5 pc.

Sleep once danced for Princess Di, but is now leaving viewers snoozing with his bland do-gooder ways.

Fearful Fash has also proved a major turn-off. Former footballer John Fashanu is struggling at less than 10 pc.

So who's next? 'Celebrity' weather girl Sian Lloyd was first out, followed by ex-cocaine addict Daniella Westbrook, who left after fearing the campsite would be washed away in her flash-flood snivelling.

Acting non-entity Chris Bisson was next to go, but will Toyah Wilcox be the next for the boot.

The nation holds its breath.
