SUFFOLK motor racing star Jason Plato is thinking about bringing his relationship with Spice Girl Mel C into the spotlight this weekend.

Jason - who presents Channel Four's Driven and is the British Touring Car Champion - will be at the Autosport Awards in London on Sunday.

The ceremony could be the place where Jason and Mel decide to move their relationship up a gear and make a first public appearance as a couple.

His spokesman said: ''They have been seeing each other but it is very low key.''

Jason, 33, met Mel, 27, when she watched her brother Paul race at the touring car championships in October.

Jason – whose parents Tim and Linda live in High Road, Trimley St Mary - is guaranteed to have his pulse raised a little further by Mel C as according to one website she is ''simply one of the most beautiful girls on this planet.''

After performing with the Spice Girls Mel proved she can rock on her own when she visited Ipswich's Regent Theatre last year sporting an I Love Ipswich vest.
