A TEENAGER found stabbed to death at an Ipswich block of flats has been named as Peter David Brown of Hackney in London.

The 19-year-old's body was discovered in a flat at Parkwood, in Henley Road, on Friday morning after an anonymous call to police.

A murder inquiry was launched and a 28-year-old Ipswich man and another man in his early 20s were arrested on suspicion of murder.

The 28-year-old was quizzed by detectives before being released on police bail pending further inquiries. He is due to answer his bail on November 28.

The second man remains in police custody.

A post mortem examination showed that the teenager's death was caused by a number of stab wounds.

The grisly discovery saw the 39-flat Parkwood cordoned off by police tape as the discovery was investigated.

Residents returning home after work were met by officers who only allowed them in to the grounds on foot.

Parkwood is in an up-market area of Ipswich close to Christchurch Park.

The site was originally used as a nurses' hostel for staff working at the former Anglesea Road wing of Ipswich Hospital. Part of the hostel was demolished and the new residential development began in the early 1990's.

On Friday the tranquil setting was disturbed by the teenager's body, the investigation and the sound of the police helicopter overhead.
