Staff at Alice Grange care home in Kesgrave have won a pair of national awards – with more nominations already in the pipeline.
On October 18, Emily Birt won national carer of the year at the Barchester awards, winning from more than 100 homes run by the provider. The dedicated carer has worked there for more than three years, with staff describing her award as an “amazing achievement”.
At the same event Kathy Holmes won the regional dementia champion award.
Two members of staff have also been nominated for Independent East of England Care awards, which takes place later this month.
Head chef Lauren has been nominated for best chef, while general manager Michelle Medway has been shortlisted for best manager.
Ms Medway said: “It is so exciting to be celebrating so many nominations for our wonderful home. We have such a good team and it is nice to be able to recognise that officially.”
