Pest control was called to an Ipswich supermarket this morning after staff were seen “frantically” chasing a mouse around the restaurant.
A spokesman for Tesco Extra at the Copdock Interchange Retail Park has assured customers it was an “isolated incident” and that cleanliness is taken “extremely seriously” at the store.
A customer, who asked not to be named, said: “I was quite astounded to see several staff frantically running around the restaurant area trying to chase vermin with a green plastic crate at 9.45am this morning.”
The supermarket giant spokesman added: “It’s an isolated incident and we have spoken to a pest control company to get this resolved as quickly as possible.”
