UFOLOGISTS firmly believe we are not alone - and that Suffolk has a key role when it comes to close encounters of the alien kind.

The east part of the county is believed by many to boast a portal used by aliens to visit us from other worlds, a doorway that links their planets and civilisations directly with ours.

The number of UFO sightings in the county is rapidly growing, too.

Over the past month there have been sightings of strange lights in the sky between Kesgrave, Grundisburgh and Framsden, at Felixstowe, Leiston, Woodbridge and Aldeburgh - many of which remain a mystery.

Observers who monitor Rendlesham Forest - the site of Suffolk's Roswell, where an alien craft is believed to have landed in 1980 - say activity there is frequent.

Worldwide there are some extraordinary stories, too, and for that reason we are expanding our coverage.

The Evening Star has launched Stargate Suffolk to enable readers to tell us the strange and unexplained phenomena they have seen with a special section on our website.

Now we are expanding this into Stargate Britain, by including stories of mysterious sightings from across the country.

Our site will keep everyone up to date with all the stories and sightings of alien craft, mystery lights and even little green men.

We want your stories - let us know what you think about the UFO mysteries of Suffolk, and your experiences of the unexplained.

The truth is out there - and the Star wants to find it.

Have you seen anything strange in Suffolk's skies? Do you believe in UFOs - or are we alone in the universe?
