THREE foreign stars at Ipswich Town have presented around 40 young people with their Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

The presentations of bronze and silver awards were made in the Galleria Restaurant of the football club by Sixto Peralta, Thomas Gaardsoe and Pablo Counago.

The young people were all from schools or open groups in the southern area of the county.

Robin Stroud, community education officer, said: "The young people who gained their bronze and silver awards have put in considerable hard work in their spare time to complete a range of activities. The presentation of awards by Ipswich Town players is a recognition of their achievements."

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award challenges young people aged between 14 and 25 to serve others, acquire new skills, and experiences. Awards can be gained in three categories – bronze, silver and gold.
