A STAGGERING £24,000 a year of taxpayers' money is forked out each year by Suffolk County Council on cups of tea and coffee for staff, The Evening Star can reveal today.
The perk of free cuppas and complimentary coffee is enjoyed by all 1,100 council employees based at Endeavour House.
Meanwhile, staff at Ipswich Borough Council enjoy similar benefits with an estimated £10,000 a year being splashed on staff drinks and a further £2,000 on tea and coffee during meetings.
