ROBIN Cowling is the owner of a mini motorcycle made in Ipswich and is seeking information and photographs about the history of the company.
Robin said: “I am looking for any early information on the Stella mini motorcycle, which was made in Ipswich in the early 60s, in Sandy Hill Lane. As far as I know no original photographs exist of these machines. A.Taylor and Son, Eastern Ltd of 20 St Helens Street, Ipswich, were cycle dealers and sold some of the Stella bikes. Ipswich Transport Museum has one of the original Stella machines. Only eight of these machines now exist, of which I have one.”
